The N-Base Information Service
The N-Base Information Service has been working for 20 years providing news and research on the UK nuclear industry,
in particular the Sellafield and Dounreay sites, nuclear transports, waste production and management, and environmental discharges.
N-Base has changed over the years - and this website is pending a major overhaul. The main work of N-Base now is a weekly emailed information briefing, which is available free of charge
on request and providing research and consultation services to the main funder, Shetland Islands Council, as well as the Nuclear Free Local Authorities and the international local government organisation KIMO. The only person curently working on N-Base is Chris Bunyan.
The old website is still available using the links, but much of the information is now old and will be archived in the revised website. There is still a 10,000 record N-Base Database and archived Briefings that can be searched - and I will hopefully add Briefings from the last two years in the future. Inside you'll also find information on the history of N-Base and its beginnings as the organisation NENIG.
The site is intended to provide information and is heavily texted based with few fancy graphics.
